Whether the thought that perhaps she'd kill him in his sleep crossed his mind or not, hard to say. Maybe he'd taken the risk to see if that switch was something that needed her actual effort to do now. And apparently he'd been right.

"Yes, it is." he answered. "We'll be jumping back into hyperspace in a moment. Our first stop is the worshiper and our cultivation world. We'll be dropping supplies off with the wraith who'd learned how to farm and learning what they have discovered in turn. Fruit trees will take time to grow but the general harvest of...annual?...food should be ready, or close to. We'll also be looking into livestock and if necessary recruiting some of the worshipers to help raise and take care of them and pass that knowledge onto the wraith."

Cooking food was one thing, gardening...or large scale farming was another. At least they had the benefit of not having to deal with companies or worrying about profits, just ensuring the harvests are good enough to supply wraith. Once the drones were given the gene therapy, they could do the more menial work with only a few supervisors needed.

Todd came over and sat beside her on the bed. "Sleep any more after I left?"

Rogue wished she could be of use with the farming aspect of things, offer advice or general information, but none of the helpful minds within her own knew anything about farming, and the extent of their combined gardening knowledge covered roses and other pretty but generally useless flora.

She leaned toward him slightly as he sat beside her, like he was a magnet pulling her in. Smiling, she admitted, "A little, yeah. It wasn't as easy after you left. Last night... It was amazing. I haven't slept that well in years."

And all they had done was sleep. He made her feel safe enough to let her guard down, and with him so close, she knew nothing would harm her. There had been no anxiety of someone breaking down the door, no memories of being hunted in the night. There had just been Todd, with his strength and the little ways he looked after her.

She couldn't do everything. If he were the worrying type, Todd would worry if she did try to do or help out with everything. She was teaching them how to cook, that was quite a job in that of itself. Some things the wraith had to pick up from other humans, like the worshipers, or learn on their own.

He chuckled a little that. Indeed, all they'd done was sleep beside one another and yet both himself and she were well rested, Rogue especially apparently.

"I guess you're moving back in here, hm?" He grinned then looked to the skylight in the ceiling. A rumble and then the ship shifted into hyperspace, the black peaceful sky changing to the blue haze.

Part of Rogue would always try to help with everything, to do anything she could to be useful, to be liked and accepted. Some part of her feared being rejected as she had when she was a child, and her method for combating that fear of being unwanted was to become indispensable. It was why she'd made such efforts to learn how to pilot a variety of aircraft and mastered so many fighting styles. It was something even Charles had struggled with helping her overcome.

She looked up at the changed view through the skylight and let her own smile grow at the sight. "If you'll let me, I'd love to," she told him truthfully. "The other space is nice, but I don't really feel... safe there. Not the way I do here with you."

Charles had apparently tried many things with Rogue. But it seemed, life among beings who sucked the years out of you, was far better. It'd only been about four months, not even, since she came aboard that rainy night. But she'd grown incredibly, and he'd learned a lot from her too.

Todd inclined in his head. "I'd enjoy your company again." he said. Also, while her navigation on the hive had gotten considerably better, he still was not all too certain about letting her walk on her own between the chambers so he had to travel between her quarters and his own quite a lot.

Several drones were still about, their hunger only kept in check by their masters control. The remainder of them would need to be put into hibernation in the next week or so though, they'd been so long without nourishment that they were starting to weaken.

Rogue looked away from the beautiful blue haze to Todd, turning that smile on him. "I'm glad," she told him. And she was. Just being around him made her happy, set her at ease, and it would nice to have more of that in her days again.

"I've been thinking about what to do with our newfound free time," she continued, the smile turning more mischievous than anything. "I've got a few ideas of my own, but was wondering if you had anything you'd like to throw in for consideration first."

The wraith nodded, "One thing I thought of, we should consider writing a cookbook."

Rogue couldn't cook for everyone all the time and while the book they'd been given in the pallets of stock was helpful, it wasn't enough. Having an extra reference on board, written by someone who knew what wraith preferred, would be far more helpful. Also if a general book was written, it could be copied and distributed through other hives for use. Or, even better and save on paper, typed into the system and distributed digitally.

"I hadn't even thought of that," she admitted with a laugh, "but it's a really great idea. There are some things that are native to Pegasus and different from back on Earth, so it would be a lot more useful than the one Atlantis provided."

The more she thought of it, the more excited she became by the idea of it. A project, something that she could do that would be of help to the other wraith, both on Todd's ship and in the alliance. And it would take some time to put together and perfect - it really was a wonderful way to fill the time left open by her newfound control.

A grunt of approval. "Good, we'll start a database for recipes and the basics of cooking after each meal." he said. And she could further work on it when they weren't sparring or otherwise occupied. He'd have to get Rogue a portable screen to work on, but her wraith was still very choppy so-...oh they'd work out the details further down the road once they got it established.

"What did you have in mind before my suggestion?" he asked

She looked a bit sheepish when he asked that, and actually looked down at her lap to avoid his gaze that she swore at times could see right through her.

"Something a bit more short-term, and requiring far fewer clothes than most activities," she admitted quietly, half a smile in place even as she felt a flush of embarrassment creep up her neck. All of this was completely new to her, and she'd meant for that particular piece to come out quite a bit differently than it had.

Todd couldn't help but outright laugh at that.

"My apologies" he said with a grin when he finally did stop "At least you know what you want"

He shifted to turn and look at her better before taking the book she'd been reading and setting it on the floor and off the bed. "If that's what you want..."

His laughing made her smile and laugh a little herself, because she knew he wasn't doing it at her expense. Rather, it seemed like she might have surprised him with her decision to just get straight to the point rather than beat around the bush. Subtlety wasn't one of her bigger virtues.

She watched him move the book and gave a slight nod. "It is," she assured him quietly, and there was only a trickle of nervousness within her. Because this was Todd, and she was safe with him.

A grunt of acknowledgment and, knowing she was too nervous to make the first move, he did so, shifting closer and brushing his lips against her own. Cupping her jaw, he turned it into an actual kiss.

She was warm and soft, and he enjoyed the rather simple affection humans preferred to start off with.

Todd brought his other hand up to brush her hair over her shoulder and reveal her throat. He'd try his best not to bite or mark her. She wasn't his queen nor a worshiper or even a pet, he had no right to claim her like that and there was the possibility of her ability flaring up as a self-defense if he did. That'd be a mood killer if there ever was one.

It was a good thing Todd had decided to make the first move, there was no telling how long it might taken Rogue to work up the nerve to do it herself.

The kiss was perfect. It was everything she'd hoped a real kiss would be - not a stolen, desperate moment of pressure between lips like she'd experienced in the past, but a real kiss that wasn't rushed or laced with the fear of her mutation. Her own hands lifted, one grasping the front of his coat while the other slid up into his hair, fingers winding through the strands as she pressed closer to him.

She had no idea what she preferred, not in instances where she was actually able to touch someone. That one small difference changed everything about what they could do and how, and so it changed almost everything she knew about what she liked. Almost.

He deepened the kiss as she accepted his attentions and even grabbed onto him. Likewise, he buried a hand in her own hair, claws lightly grazing her skull.

Todd broke the kiss and withdrew from her in order to remove his coat and settle more on the bed. Returning, he pulled Rogue into his lap and met her lips again. Far better positioned, he rested a hand on her thigh, the other on her jaw, caressing her cheek with his thumb as he kissed her. So far, she seemed to like everything.

It was much better without his coat in the way, the thick material far too much of a barrier when all she wanted to do was touch him. Her hands traced along his undershirt, over the toned muscle of his abdomen and around to his sides. One hand stayed there at his waist while the other continued to his back, her nails scratching gently at him through the fabric and even ghosting across the sensitive cartilage over his spine.

He was doing such wonderful things already with his lips and hands, and everything was still so innocent. But with anticipation and a long-felt desperation rising within her, every touch was almost electric with the way her skin reacted. She couldn't stop a quiet moan from forming at the back of her throat.

Todd drank up that moan, moving to suckle her throat and catch the tail-end of the beautiful noise against his tongue on her skin. She seemed okay with the pace he'd set and so continued to shower her with attention, hands moving along her thighs and then on her waist.

"You're over-dressed" he rumbled in her ear, withdrawing then to help remove her shirt. Once that was gone, he shifted to lay Rogue down on her back, devouring her mouth again, his hair falling about their faces in the new position.

If Todd had liked that little moan, then he was going to love the way she would react to everything else he might do to her. Rogue was extremely vocal when it came to all things pleasurable - moans, gasps, desperate pleas, all of it was liberally dispensed. She'd been embarrassed by her own responses once, until Remy assured her it was an encouragement and huge turn-on for her partner, so she didn't even consider trying to dial it down with Todd. Especially not when he was doing all the right things. He'd certainly had enough practice over the years.

She let him move her as he chose, trusting his decisions and letting him lead in this instance. Another time, she would take charge, but she was already fighting a slight trembling in her body from what he was doing to her, so this dance was his to lead.

There was something so incredibly sensual about having such a powerful creature poised over her, kissing her like it was the only thing that mattered in that moment; it certainly was for her. Rogue's hands clutched at his shoulders, her nails gently scraping across his skin in ways she could never manage with gloves, and she made another noise in her throat, this one a hint more desperate as she tried to get closer to him.

Todd suckled her throat again, tongue caressing over her pulse and he chuckled in her ear at the moan for more. "One thing at a time" he said. "There's no rush." he assured her.

The rake of her nails over his skin felt good and in between taking care of her, he groaned a little. He returned to giving her throat some more attention, sliding his feeding hand along her bare waist and moving up to her bra to cup a breast through the stretchy material. He massaged the soft mound, returning to her lips to kiss her again and drink up any moans.

The trembling began when he touched her breast, a slight shaking in her body that had nothing to do with fear and everything to do with how much she wanted him.

This was right. This was so very right. She had absolutely no reason now to regret her to decision to trust him, with her safety or this very personal experience. And she was so very glad that she'd ended up in Pegasus, that their paths had crossed during that rain-soaked battle - she would always miss her friends and her home, but this was her home now, the world he'd introduced to her.

She leaned back slightly from their kiss, barely an inch between them, and informed him in a breathy voice, "I might be patient in the kitchen, but I'm not in the bedroom." And then she pulled him back to her with just a little force to make her point clear.

He smiled against her lips at that proclamation, and slid a hand beneath her back to undo her bra...only to find nothing to undo. He pulled away, feeling around to be sure. Nope, nothing.

Knowing how few clothes she had and even fewer undergarments, he didn't want to just rip the article off, so he withdrew and gave one of the straps a light tug and cleared his throat. "How does this come off?" he asked. Usually this wasn't difficult but clothes from earth were far different most by humans here in Pegasus, which were usually kept together with ties or buttons, not zippers or in this case...nothing.

She realized what he was doing when he felt around that second time, and it took a lot of effort not to smile at his struggles. When he finally asked about it and gave the strap a tug, though, she couldn't help but giggle. It was really kind of adorable, and she appreciated that he hadn't just torn it off as she knew he so easily could.

"Like this," she said with a smirk, gently pushing him back so she wouldn't hit him in the face as she grabbed the bottom hem of the bra and just tugged it over her head. The black material went flying across the room to end up who knew where - she'd care about finding it later.

Oh, that was easy. He'd have to remember that one.

He chuckled a little at that and leaned in to kiss her again. her breasts now bare to him, he slid his hand back up to give one a squeeze, massaging the soft skin and teasing the nipple between his clawed fingers.

His mouth returned to her throat, moving a little further down to taste more of Rogue. He'd not been with a human for some years and the fact she was from earth-and an entirely different galaxy-meant she was far different than anyone he'd been with before.

Todd's short beard tickled her skin as he kissed between her breasts, the hand not busy playing with one moving to work her pants off next. She might be eager for the main event but he wanted more exploration time...and to treat her well. Jumping right to sex itself had long lost its flavor over the years for the old wraith, savoring his mate and enjoying the pleasure he brought them was far more satisfying.

His teasing and the tickling of his beard had her squirming beneath him, fighting the instinctual urge to move away when all she really wanted was to be closer and have more of that wonderful touch of his. Her breathing had become more audible but also shallower, and her hands returned to clutching at him, one grasping at a shoulder while the other wove into that wild hair she'd come to adore.

She could tell by the pace that he was intending to take things slowly, and while she could appreciate that, she fully intended to make him pay for it later when she had her turn to play and explore. For now, she'd let him enjoy himself, even if it was sweet torture for her. She did lift her hips slightly off the bed though, to provide a little bit of assistance as he worked on removing her pants, an effort of which she greatly approved.

After her pants were tossed off the bed alongside everything else thus far, he gave more attention to her breasts as humans, including her, were sensitive there. He teased with his fingers a bit more before swiping his tongue over a perked nipple, careful of his teeth, he drew his gaze up to watch Rogue writhe.

By now he'd settled against her and she could feel his swelling length against her leg through his pants, but he seemed unconcerned with himself for the time being, content with playing with her.
