Hearing him say those words... It nearly broke her heart in the best of ways. It cemented the knowledge that he cared for her in his own way, that he'd hoped she would return even though he had no way of knowing if it were even possible. She had to bite her lip to keep the tears held back, but she still managed a smile as she nodded at his question.

"Breakfast sounds good," she told him before leaning in to press a kiss to his cheek.
