She looked up at Todd when he touched her shoulder and tried to give him a smile. It wasn't too successful.
"Thanks," she said just as quietly. "I sure don't feel like it." Death was what she felt like, along with immense guilt and anxiety. That she was still among a group of people was only fueling that anxiety, because even though the only skin exposed was her face and neck, she felt like another accident was just waiting to happen.
It was silly, she knew, but logic didn't have much place in her world after what had just happened.
