Everything in her relaxed at his words. She hadn't expected an apology. All she'd wanted was for him to understand, to stop pushing so much for something she couldn't give. The war had taken everything from her, and she couldn't do it anymore. It was part of why living alone on a deserted planet had been at least slightly appealing - no one to betray her, and no one to lose and mourn while they stayed forever inside her.
