Rogue pressed the towel to her palm, hissing as the pressure made the stinging worse. "Something stupid," she grumbled, carefully wiping at the cuts on her hand.

"Those things are really sharp," she commented, noticing how clean the cuts were. The bleeding had already stopped, too, and she could feel the slight itching of healing underneath the biting pain.

Going back to the topic at hand, she explained, "I was surprised that it was starting to work and lost my focus. Stupid." She paused in her work and looked up at him. Repeated her question from before, she asked, "Are you okay?"
