Being back in the kitchen was as nostalgic as Todd's quarters. She'd spent so much time there, teaching the crew about cooking and then supervising as they experimented and took care of things on their own. It was truly strange not to have the room full of wraith.
Rogue watched Todd work with a fond smile, helping where she was able, but mostly just enjoying the view. She'd missed being able to see him every day, to enjoy his smiles and finding ways to make him laugh.
"I don't think I'd be able to return to my world, even I wanted to." It came out of nowhere, the end of a complex train of thought process that would take ages to explain. But the words were out now, and she hoped that they might offer the both of them some reassurance that she was (hopefully) here to stay this time.
