Victoria being able to help hadn't occurred to Rogue, but now that she thought about it, she did remember their discussions over the strength and abilities usually possessed by queens. Her help would be invaluable, even if Rogue wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea. If Todd were there though, perhaps that would make things a little easier.

Her thoughts were following the same line as his, pondering where she would be able to sleep. She'd missed being beside him, having the comfort of his embrace or just the reassurance that he was there. But there was too much risk involved with her staying with him now, and she couldn't bear the idea of possibly hurting him.

She soaped and rinsed her hair before carefully asking, "Where will I be staying? It's been so long, are the old worshipper quarters still empty?"
