Sleeping pills don't work, and sedatives need to be taken in massive doses to even make my kin groggy let alone put us to sleep." he said, putting his tablet aside as he finished his notes. "If hibernating doesn't work, we're soon all going to be a bunch of walking zombies." he chuckled dryly.

"Go back to sleep." he said, touching her shoulder and getting out of bed again. Now that he knew sleeping-for now anyway-was off the table, he decided he'd best get some other work done. No need to ruin her sleep with his restlessness.
