Sheppard watched Todd go and glanced at the other Wraith before jerking his head to the side, signalling for Rogue to follow him a bit further down the hall. She did so and they stopped near a window overlooking the city and the ocean beyond.
"Are you okay?" he asked suddenly, looking both concerned and uncomfortable, which was a fairly typical combination for men. "Living up there on the hive ship with all of them, you're okay?" It was like he couldn't actually believe it, despite asking for confirmation.
She leaned against the wall and crossed her arms, looking full-on at Sheppard. "I feel safer with Todd on his hive ship than I did in that room with all of you," she told him honestly, which made him flinch slightly. "We trust each other, and that goes a long way towards everything."
Sheppard just looked at her for a long moment, debating whether he should say anything further. Finally, he nodded and joined her in leaning and waiting. "So, parallel Earth, huh? Who won the last Super Bowl?"
