Rogue laughed quietly when Todd agreed with her. Though he did have a knack for going a little too far with his questions, she really couldn't fault McKay for his curiosity with her. She just wished he'd learn a little tact, is all, preferably before she had to teach him that lesson herself.

The dead animal caused all amusement to disappear from her instantly. Not for the animal's sake, though she did feel a little sorry for it to have died in such a way, but mostly because she was drawing the same conclusions as Todd. It was clearly a trap designed by humans, which meant they were nearby and likely wouldn't appreciate a wandering wraith in their midst.
So she kept close to Todd as he instructed, walking carefully and keeping an eye on their surroundings, both for any new arrivals and for additional traps that might be waiting for them.
