Rogue could feel the difference between the queen and the others, like a specific type of energy that was wrapped around her. It made sense that there would be an almost pull to respect and obey her, and the sensation matched everything Todd had ever said about queens and the matriarchal nature of Wraith society. But despite that power, there in the kitchen Rogue didn't fear the queen for being a predator, but rather for the power she held to send Rogue away from the hive.

"I know it is," she replied, watching the queen cautiously. "I've been trying to learn as much as I can about Wraith culture and society, and while I've got a long way to go, I understand that the arrangement of my being here is far from normal.
