After the meeting and the commanders had returned to their ships, one by one, the hives went their separate ways, jumping to hyperspace back to their territories.

Repairs by now had been completed at long last so the worshiper kitchens were opened. There was just one problem.

No one knew how to cook.

All those that had been living on real food had had it raw and simple on the hive after the MREs Atlantis gave them ran out. And they'd long since done away with the worshipers themselves. True they had enough to last them to Atlantis but...most were already sick of bread and cheese.

They'd just jumped back into hyperspace, headed for Atlantis, when Todd returned to his chambers.

"We have a...bit of a problem" he said through a smile "Do you know how to cook?"
