Todd couldn't possibly have any idea the affect that simple action would have on Rogue. Casual touch wasn't something they shared often, everything physical between them focused on training or sparring. He couldn't know how much it would mean to her to have him make such a gesture, to be that close for even a moment. It settled something in her, calming her nerves and smoothing over the stress of the past day.

Everything would be alright. She could believe that now.

She settled back to read a little while longer, eventually falling asleep with the book on her chest. Her slumber was much more peaceful this time around.
