Breathing slowly for a moment, Steve considered her suggestion seriously. He knew Peggy would enjoy meeting Rogue; it might make her ache that he was moving on, but like her, they both knew that they'd missed their own opportunity to be together. He was happy that she'd married Daniel, and had a good life, even while he was sad he couldn't have been there for it, and he thought she would feel the same, seeing Rogue.

"I think it would," he finally responded softly, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "Thank you. I don't know when. I'm not putting it off, exactly, but... I want to get settled a little more, first. But sometime, yes."
