Rogue held on to Steve a little more tightly when he mentioned things had been better since they'd met. She felt the same way - everything was easier since he'd come into her life. Getting up in the morning wasn't like facing a lifetime alone, the nightmares weren't as difficult to move past, and she felt like she had a purpose, even if it was just working to make his life better as he deserved.

"Would it help," she started quietly, uncertain that it was the right thing to offer and hoping that he took it as she meant it, "if I went with you sometime?" Because she didn't want him to lose this opportunity and regret it for the rest of his life. She knew it was hard for him, how could it not be, but it sounded like he needed the closure of seeing her, even if it wasn't really closure at all.
