The sound of Steve moving about the bedroom didn't wake her, though the dull rush of the shower from down the hall did. Thankfully, her waking was slow and peaceful, a gentle buoying of her consciousness back into the normal world. She hadn't dreamed at all, nothing to disturb her slumber, and she felt pretty well-rested, which was a nice change.

She contemplated the idea of getting up and joining Steve in the shower, since she was fairly certain he wouldn't mind one bit, but ultimately she decided there would be other opportunities.
