She knew full well that Steve could take care of himself, and that with his strength and other enhanced abilities, there wasn't much that could harm him that he might actually encounter during a run, but she would worry all the same. Whenever he was out of her sight, there would be a worry at the back of her mind that she might never see him again, for one reason or another, and so she was just grateful that he didn't brush off her concern and instead made that simple promise. It meant a lot to her.

While Steve changed, Rogue washed up the few dirty things in the sink, like the plate he'd just used, and dried them with a towel before putting them back in their places. She was sure that if she asked for, he'd insist she needn't do it, so she just didn't bother to ask.
