Rogue was always tired, not that she'd admit that to Steve. Not yet. He didn't need to know about all of her issues right at the start. There was still a gnawing fear in her chest that when he learned just how broken she really was, he'd decide he didn't want to deal with it all. Maybe it wasn't fair to him, but that's just how her mind worked.
She gave him an amused smile and shook her head. "I'm fine for now," she told him with affection. "Though you're right, you really don't have much." It was something she'd fix soon, as much as she could with a small early morning shopping trip. There had to be something open in the area that would have some of the staples.
