Pressing his lips together, Steve almost whimpered at the idea of Rogue staying over, numerous nights, and just casually going through his clothes and selecting a shirt to wear to bed. His face of course turned pink as she teased him, but she was smiling and happy and eating, and he could live with a little embarrassment if that was the result.

Taking another bite to give himself time to think of a proper response, he finally said, "Usually, I'm the one wearing the hand-me-downs, or I was. It'll be a nice change of pace, at least." He made a show of looking over at her, looking up and down at her, from the disheveled hair, bruises already forming up and down her neck and chest (he inwardly winced at the sight...but also liked it), her dress mostly pulled back into place but obviously rumpled and not quite straight on her... "You're definitely gonna look nicer in them than I ever do." His voice was huskier than he'd intended, but it definitely helped get his message across.
