Completely unaware of Rogue's own thoughts, Steve made another face at his shoes. "I'd rather just go barefoot," he muttered, rather mutinously, sounding like a sulking child and not really caring. "I guess I'd probably better, though. People frown on you running around without shoes when you're not getting shot at." He slipped the shoes back on, but didn't tie them; it'd be fine for the quick trip up and back again.
