Were they in a different stage in their relationship, Steve would've had no problem giving Rogue a quick, playful swat to the butt as she started laughing. As it was, however, he just grinned and made short work of exiting the park. They'd had to park a little ways away, due to holiday-goers already at the park taking the best spots, but that just meant he got to carry her that much longer.

Of course, they passed quite a few people on the sidewalk, and while many ignored them completely, there were some who got sly, knowing smiles on their faces as they watched him cart Rogue along. Steve just nodded his head politely to them, as if this entire situation were normal for him, and it wasn't at all unusual to have a beautiful gal slung over his shoulder on a busy sidewalk.

Still, the sooner they could get to the privacy of his apartment, the better. Once he'd reached his bike, Steve bent and settled Rogue on the pavement, unable to quite resist letting his hands slide from her thighs up to her waist as he straightened back up. He fished out the keys from his pocket with one hand, while he grabbed the helmet with the other and handed it to her.
