Steve licking the frosting off the shield and candle was one of the most adorable things she'd seen him do yet. It made Rogue wish she'd thought to have a camera out, even just the one on her phone, but then she didn't know yet how Steve felt about photos. She'd have to ask him later - she'd love to have photos of the two of them together, for their eyes only of course, and the few friends they decided to share them with.

Rogue's face lit up at Steve's groan in reaction to tasting the full cupcake, since she was pretty darn sure that meant he liked it. His muffled utterance made her giggle in pure joy. "That good, huh?" she asked him with laughter in her voice, closing up the container so they could pack up and move to some shade. "Wait until you try the rest."
