She saw that blush, and she had a pretty good idea of what had caused it. Their unspoken plans for later were, of course, in her mind as well. She knew that this was important to Steve, on a personal level as well as for them, and it was important for her too. None of this was new to her, but it sure felt like it was. He would be the first man to really be with her, but in order for that to happen, he would have to see her scars. Part of her was genuinely worried about that, particularly on them casting a shadow over their time together.

But they would cross that bridge when they came to it.

"I'm glad they did that for you," she told him with a smile. "Finding my way alone in this world was hard, but I've at least lived with most of this; technology, social conventions, history. I honestly can't imagine how difficult all of this has been for you, so I'm grateful for any small thing that's helped you." She pressed a kiss to his shoulder. "And it sounds absolutely lovely."
