Showing how he felt through actions rather than words was a good thing in Rogue's book. She'd absorbed more than enough people to know how often others lied about their emotions, how flowery words could hide terrible things. Having his touch was more important - it meant something to her that words never could. She didn't need elaborate declarations of undying affection so long as she had his arms around her.
