Rogue knew all about getting good people killed, and even as she continued to beat herself up about it, she would argue with Steve that it wasn't his fault. Given the chance, she would hold him while he missed his friend, and do whatever she could to help him through his grief. Even the strongest of them needed that much when a loved one was lost.

"Well, you'd better get used to it with me," she informed him with a playful smirk. "I think you're absolutely gorgeous, sugar, inside and out, and I'm gonna take every opportunity to mention it."
