Augments may have their share of possible defects, but overly-maudlin behaviour wasn't one of them. Neither was being vulnerable to panicking in unusual circumstances, or having messy emotional breakdowns when discussing logistical possibilities for achieving practical goals. If anything, the genetic engineers were overly thorough in their attempts to eliminate these tendencies. The nature of the human evolutionary processes in Rogue's continuity was likely very different, but the two of them still seemed to have some substantial common ground.
